THE NIGERIA STUDENTSHIP PROJECT
THE AIM OF PROJECT

It has come to our attention that university studies in the UK and other advanced countries in general, remains the preserve of the wealthy in a number of developing countries.

A lot of very qualified prospective students are completely priced out of the equation since they are not even able to afford the preliminary expenses required to begin the process of pursuing admissions into foreign universities.

Preparation costs as well as fees for qualifying examination such as IELTS, SAT TOEFL, GMAT, GRE, etc are pretty expensive for the average citizen to afford let alone high express courier charges for multiple documents to aid communication between the prospective students and the university (ies) of their choice. This is worsened by the fact that the admission process naturally involves up to 3 universities or more if the student hopes to have a fair chance of obtaining just one (1) offer of admission. Hence, the expense alone for correspondence can be staggering.

By the time visa fees and travel arrangements (interstate travel and international flights) are added to the scenario, it is crystal clear that an awful lot of people who though are genuinely able to study for a foreign degree and can make a considerably positive change to their society if armed with this knowledge, but are unfortunately not financially endowed simply cannot compete.

Even in the rare situation that they are somehow able to obtain the admissions, they still have the "mind blowing" issue of huge tuition fees and living expenses to worry about.

The problem highlighted above has prompted our action. We would like to offer a more detailed package of aid to prospective students to enable them achieve their dreams of a value education in a foreign country. We aim to give them the monetary assistance they need to cover the ancillary but extremely important costs needed to get them up and running in their bid to obtaining admission offers from universities, visa fees and travel expenses as well as cover the full costs of their tuition and living expenses while studying in the UK. We are offering qualifying students an all round package for studies in the UK.

All this is done with the vision that a student irrespective of his /her financial background, but possessing both a high academic ability and a strong passion for study, put in an environment devoid of financial worry will assimilate maximum knowledge from his/her studies and will become a great asset both to him/herself and to the country as a whole.
